I came to France in 2005 and renovated a ruin from the ground up virtually single handed, new foundations, blockwork , stonework & jointing, new roof, all internal work.. plasterboard, plastering, painting, floor & wall tiling, kitchen & bathroom fitting, underfloor heating and plumbing. I also installed all the electrical cables for lighting and socket circuits but preferred to have a French electrician do the final connections to the fuse box, (I have lots of photos to bore you with). For the past two and a half years I've been renovating a large family house in Agen for a retired French dentist, again, virtually single handed, including exterior re jointing (500 sq meters), flooring, 5 bedrooms + 5 en suite bathrooms, reception, lounge, dining room kitchen etc etc and also again, have many more boring photos available. I've recently taken a young (22yrs old) French friend under my wing who is keen and eager to learn everything I know, (that should only take about 2 days!!!) So, the language isn't a problem for any confusing French paperwork necessary.
